The Youth Council is the working group of the youth associations and the youth councils of Lower Franconia.

They are fully committed to the needs of all children and teenagers in Lower Franconia and decide about trendsetting guidelines of youth work and youth politics.

It has the legal form of a public corporation as a structure of the Bavarian Youth Council.

The Youth Council consists of 33 youth associations and 12 city youth councils plus regional youth councils. This network of joint organisations reaches more than two thirds of all children and teenagers in Lower Franconia with their educational activities and leisure activities.

The Youth Council of Lower Franconia consists of its head office and their youth education centre. These are supported in their work by funds of the District of Lower Franconia, the Bavarian Youth Council and the European Union.

The work of the Youth Council is determined by the assignment of tasks by the Bavarian Youth Council and the District of Lower Franconia
